VertusAir is a fictitious commercial airline that operated the doomed Flight 718 in The Transformation.
No characters in the show have officially represented the airline, other than the flight crew.
VertusAir passenger Marshall Bowman mutated in a matter of minutes, after becoming ill during the flight.
VertusAir flight attendants were initially reluctant to treat or assist Bowman. After he mutated and threatened flight safety, desperate calls were made to the cockpit.
VertusAir pilots contacted Air Traffic Control and attemped a distress call that was cut-off - the final transmission -"Our purser's reporting a disturbance in the main cabin. There seems... It's trying to get in. New York, we need an emergency land... 718... we have something on board... It's already killed at least three pass...."
The crash of VertusAir Flight 718 took 147 lives - the same as Glatterflug Flight 627 in Pilot.
